AI Mode: A New Approach to Search
AI Mode is an innovative tab in Google Search, initially available to users invited through Google Search Labs. It stands out for helping with queries that require in-depth exploration, reasoning, or comparisons, making it easier to find the information users need without having to analyze and compare results themselves. This feature uses a technique called “query fan-out,” which runs multiple related searches across different subtopics and sources, bringing the results together to provide a comprehensive, in-depth answer that goes beyond what users would expect from traditional search. Another new feature is the multimodal interaction offered by AI Mode, which supports searches by text, voice, and image.
