Instituto da Maturidade Digital launches Agency Directory portal, developed by VitaminaWeb

Instituto da Maturidade Digital launches Agency Directory, a platform developed by VitaminaWeb to organize and make it easier to discover companies working in marketing, communications and technology in Brazil. The portal brings together agencies from different regions of the country, classified by services, states and cities, and allows companies to find providers, learn about their specialties and request quotes directly through the platform.

Finding an agency that specializes in a particular service seems simple, until a company actually needs to start looking.

SEO, artificial intelligence, website development, paid media, CRM, branding, UX, automation, Business Intelligence and digital security are just some of the dozens of specialties that have become part of the marketing, communications and technology market in recent years.

The problem is that the range of providers has grown, become more specialized and spread across the country without an equally well-organized way to find them.

That is the problem behind the launch of Agency Directory, a new portal from Instituto da Maturidade Digital, developed by VitaminaWeb.

The platform is available at listadeagencias.com.br and brings together marketing, communications and technology agencies and providers from different regions of Brazil in a database that can be searched by service and location.

At launch, the directory already features 1,795 agencies across 26 federative units, classified under 115 digital services, organized into five broad categories.

A map of Brazil’s agency market

Agency Directory is built around a practical goal: reducing the distance between companies looking to hire digital expertise and providers capable of delivering those projects.

Companies looking for an agency can search directly for the service they need and refine their search by state or city.

The classification covers a wide range of areas, reflecting the expansion of the digital market itself. Services include website development, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, SEO, paid media, performance marketing, CRM, content production, UX and UI, dashboards, data engineering, process automation, hosting and cybersecurity.

This organization also highlights an important characteristic of the sector: digital agencies are no longer a homogeneous category.

Some companies specialize in customer acquisition, others focus on technology, data consulting, content production, e-commerce operations or automation. Some organizations combine several of these capabilities.

That is why searching only for “agency” provides little information. Knowing exactly what a company can do has become much more relevant.

Organized and curated public data

Agency Directory’s database is built through research and curation of public data on companies in the sector.

The platform team organizes and reviews the information, and agencies can request corrections or removal of their data. When specific information is not publicly available, the portal does not fill in the gaps by making assumptions.

This approach is particularly important for a directory that aims to become a reference for information about the market.

Rather than simply presenting a list of companies, the model structures information to show where each provider is located and which services it says it offers.

From search to quote request

Agency Directory also connects supply and demand.

A company can select the service it is looking for, indicate its location and browse the available agencies. It can also use the platform’s quote request system.

The request includes information about the project, budget and timeline, and can be sent to member agencies that offer the relevant service. When a request is made directly through a member agency’s profile, it is sent specifically to that agency.

The platform facilitates this connection but does not participate in negotiations, contracting, payments or the delivery of services between companies.

A platform designed for AI agents, too

One of the most interesting aspects of the project is outside the portal’s traditional interface.

Agency Directory is structured so its data can be accessed not only by people, but also by systems, applications and artificial intelligence agents.

The platform has an API that lets users search for agencies by service, state, city and other criteria, as well as access profiles and submit quote requests.

An MCP server has also been implemented. This protocol allows AI assistants and agents to access tools and external sources in a structured way.

In practice, this opens the door to a new way of finding providers.

Instead of necessarily using a search engine, researching multiple companies and comparing their websites one by one, a user will be able to ask an agent something like:

“Find companies in São Paulo that develop artificial intelligence projects and dashboards.”

The infrastructure allows applications and assistants to search the directory and find providers that match the criteria entered. The platform documentation explicitly mentions use by assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude.

This layer makes the project particularly relevant as the way people find information on the internet continues to change.

Websites are beginning to be built for two audiences at once: people and machines.

A project by Instituto da Maturidade Digital

Agency Directory is a platform maintained by Instituto da Maturidade Digital, the organization responsible for operating the directory and handling the information made available through the service.

The project was created and developed technologically by VitaminaWeb, which built the platform.

The initiative also expands the Institute’s work organizing and producing insights into Brazil’s digital market.

By bringing together thousands of providers under a common classification, Agency Directory is beginning to build a database that can help not only companies looking for service providers, but also those seeking to understand how specific capabilities are distributed across Brazil.

How many companies work with artificial intelligence? Which cities have the highest concentration of e-commerce providers? Where are the agencies specializing in data? Which digital capabilities are growing?

A structured directory makes it possible to start answering questions like these with data.

A market that needs to be discoverable

There is another, less obvious outcome of the project.

For many years, an agency relied primarily on referrals, networking, media, its own content or search engine rankings to be discovered.

Artificial intelligence agents have added a new layer to this process.

Automated systems are increasingly taking part in the initial discovery, comparison and selection of providers.

For a company, then, having a digital presence is beginning to mean having information that is structured enough for these machines to interpret.

This is where a directory like Agency Directory can serve a different purpose than traditional business listings. It organizes a complex market into a structure that can be searched by people, systems and AI agents.

The launch includes nearly 1,800 registered agencies. Going forward, the platform’s relevance will depend on the quality and freshness of this database, and on its ability to represent a rapidly changing market.

If it can do that, Agency Directory could become not just a place to look for providers, but a source of data on the structure of Brazil’s digital market itself.
