Brazil’s digital sector has taken a strategic step toward international expansion. Rodrigo Neves, CEO of VitaminaWeb and National President of AnaMid (National Association of the Digital Market and Industry), led the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Panamanian government, represented by the official agency ProPanamá, to position the country as a gateway for Brazilian companies entering the Latin American market.

The agreement was formalized during the Panama Investment Summit, held in São Paulo, bringing together officials and business leaders from both countries to discuss business opportunities and regional integration.

Through this partnership, Brazilian technology and communications companies will have access to legal, tax and logistical support to launch or expand operations in other Latin American countries, using Panama as a strategic base.

“Our role is to create real pathways for Brazil’s digital sector to cross borders. Panama represents a concrete opportunity to connect with all of Latin America”, says Rodrigo Neves.

Institutional connections and expanding opportunities

In addition to government support, AnaMid is coordinating with key local organizations, including Ciudad del Saber, Capatec and Panamá Pacífico, to ensure the right infrastructure for setting up operations and accelerating partnerships.

Leonardo Santander, AnaMid Latam ambassador, and André Bianchi, AnaMid’s director of international relations and president of LIDE Panamá, took part in the process. The Panamanian delegation also included companies such as Banco Lafise, Copa Airlines, Grupo Siuma and KPMG.

Favorable conditions for regional expansion

According to IDC, technology investments in Latin America are expected to exceed US$102 billion in 2025, with Brazil leading transformation in areas such as hybrid cloud, generative AI and cybersecurity.

In digital advertising, Emarketer projects more than US$40 billion in investments across the region, with social commerce, retail media and streaming leading the way.

International event planned for 2026

As a result of the agreement, AnaMid is planning an international event in Panama for 2026, focused on bringing Latin American digital companies together.
