## What you get

- **01**The three pillars: logs, metrics, and traces
- **02**Custom operational dashboards
- **03**Severity-based alerts, without notification overload
- **04**Application performance monitoring (APM)
- **05**Centralized logs and distributed tracing
- **06**Incident runbooks for every alert

## How it works

1. **Assessment**

We assess what is already being monitored and identify blind spots.
2. **Instrumentation**

We configure the tools and instrument the application and infrastructure.
3. **Dashboards and alerts**

We build dashboards and alerts for what really matters.
4. **Runbooks**

We document what to do for each alert and train the team.

## When it makes sense

We find out the system is down from a customer.

Every incident turns into hours of investigation, with no idea where to start.

We receive so many alerts that nobody pays attention anymore.

The system slows down from time to time, and nobody can figure out why.

## Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between monitoring and observability?

Monitoring checks whether something is working, such as availability and CPU usage. Observability helps you understand why something is not working, using correlated logs, distributed traces, and business metrics.

 Which tool do you recommend?

It depends on your budget and requirements. Datadog or New Relic for comprehensive solutions, or Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki for a lower-cost open-source stack.

Do I need observability for a simple website?

For a simple website, basic availability and performance monitoring is usually enough. Full observability makes more sense for SaaS, e-commerce, and systems with multiple services.

How do you prevent alert overload?

We configure alerts only for what matters, with context to support quick action. Each alert comes with a runbook that explains what to check and how to resolve the issue.

How much does implementation cost, and how long does it take?

It depends on the size of the environment, the tools selected, and what is already in place. The timeline and investment are defined in the proposal after the assessment.
