![8 Tips to Help Your Online Store Thrive](https://vitaminaweb.digital/storage/blog/0jNjsTSItltcy8gzi3mfNZCHGQoLdWMq9LNQlcxG.webp) There are several tips to help your online store thrive, and this article will share some of them. The entire process of getting our website up and running is extensive and requires effort and commitment. But once it’s live, we can focus on maintaining it and reaping the rewards of all that hard work. But what if our website isn’t delivering positive results and just keeps surviving day after day? This is one of the most common questions in the e-commerce world. Many people don’t know what they’re doing wrong or where to start to make their online stores more appealing. So, I’m going to share tips that will help your online store thrive.

#### **1. Platform**

Since the platform is the link between you and your customer, it should always offer features that keep that connection strong. In other words, don’t rush into choosing a platform. Check the layouts it offers, find out how updates are made and what they add to the platform, and review the integrations with other tools that are available. Remember, your platform should offer features that help optimize your business and make it run smoothly.

#### 2. Product

To help your online store grow, it’s important to promote your product effectively. That means presenting it perfectly. Never use blurry photos or images that haven’t been properly edited. In other words, make sure they’re high quality. Always include product details in the description, too. When customers don’t have enough information about a product, they won’t feel confident about buying it. Creativity is your best asset here. Create your product listing with accurate information, and use plenty of creativity to make it stand out.

#### 3. Delivery process

The delivery process is one reason many customers don’t complete their purchases. This includes everything from shipping costs to delivery times. Try not to charge too much for shipping, or consider offering free shipping. Would you buy something if the shipping cost were more than 10% of the product’s price? Customers won’t buy from your store if your delivery time is longer than that of other online stores. Review your average delivery time and try to reduce it. Believe it or not, customers are often willing to pay a little more to receive their product sooner.

#### 4. Payment methods

If your store offers fewer than three payment options, your e-commerce business is unlikely to thrive. Give your customers a range of ways to pay. Let them pay with two credit cards, accept as many credit card networks as possible, and let them choose the payment method that works best for them in your online store.

#### 5. Shorten the checkout process

If customers have to click through several pages to make a purchase on your website, be aware that this isn’t a good practice. These days, customers want speed. They often buy because the process is easy, or even on impulse. Even a customer who really wants to buy your product may give up if they have to go through a long process to complete their purchase. Time is money, and money is time. Make the process faster and increase your e-commerce profits.

#### 6. A clean website

When customers visit your store, they’re looking for a clean website with a beautiful, creative layout, not a page packed with ads and pop-ups. The more cluttered your website looks, the less likely you are to make a sale. Keep this in mind: “Quality over quantity.”

#### 7. Contact channels

To show potential customers that they can shop with confidence and will receive support and positive after-sales service, your online store needs contact channels that work properly and respond to requests quickly.

#### 8. Online store reputation

These days, if your business doesn’t have a good reputation with its customers, your e-commerce business is unlikely to thrive. Before making a purchase, customers often research your online store’s reputation and the steps you’re taking to ensure it is viewed positively in the market. The better your online store’s reputation, the greater your chances of attracting new customers and building loyalty among existing ones.
